I’ve mentioned before that I sometimes struggle with making cards that are more gender neutral. I was determined this year to send my dad a Father’s Day card that doesn’t scream, “Girl!” And dog-gone-it, I think I’ve done it!
I used a QuicKutz emboss folder, for the card. These emboss folders create impossibly lovely and detailed designs but they can also sometimes cut through the paper so I cut a piece of paper out as backing for the front of the card.
Look at that detail!
I used Silhouette Studio to cut out the triangle with a circle shape, stamped the circle image, and embossed the stars and “#1.” The card was missing something until I used the 0.5″ side of my corner chomper on the top. This card looks very different from what I usually make, but I like it!
